Hunts Boccia club wins more funding

The legacy of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games is set to continue with extra funding for a Boccia club in Huntingdonshire.

Huntingdonshire Disability Sports Forum and the active lifestyles team at Huntingdonshire District Council were able to win funding from Sport England’s Sportivate funding to set up the club in the wake of the Olympics and Paralympics.

Now the disability sports forum has obtained a further £1,600 from Young Lives to keep the club, named Hunts Boccia, running until October.

Fortnightly sessions are available at One Leisure Huntingdon, from noon to 1pm on Saturdays at a cost of £3.
